This pandemic has taken its toll on everyone, one way or another. My heart is heavy for all the lives lost and seriously effected. I am also sad for all the celebrations that were put on hold; birthdays, graduations, weddings baby showers etc. It is these moments that truly help to make life beautiful. I can't help but think of all the moms who had to give brith alone, and grandparents that had to meet their grandchildren for the first time through a video call. I know how important these moments are, documenting them is the reason my business exist. My business like so many others that was shut down and unable to capture those moments. As we all slowly begin to open back up, and get back tot capturing those sweet memories, I want to take this time to tell you a little about what I will be doing to keep my family and yours safe. My Concord, NC studio is in my home, being a walk-out basement it is completely separate from by living space but in my home none-the-less. So, I have opted to be as safe as possible. We shut down early and have taken a bit longer to open back up than most.  Working so closely with some of the most vulnerable populations, your precious newborns and pregnant mommas I fell as though it is my duty to do everything in my power to minimize unnecessary exposure. As I plan on opening I do so very cautiously. I have researched and plan to take every step possible to keep everyone safe. You can read more below on specifics but please be aware that our new policy requires those coming in the studio to submit to getting their temp taken (no contact) and wearing a mask unless getting their picture taken, at which time I will be using one of my fancy lenses and ensuring we stay 6 feet apart. These are non-negotiables and if you are uncomfortable with that we can spake about other options such as an outdoor session or rescheduling for a later date. I will also be using an disinfecting fogger before and after each session, which will be at last 3 day apart. Until this pandemic has subsided I will also be changing our retainer fee policy and all retainer fees will be completely refundable should we have to cancel due to Covid-19 related issues.
