I had the honor of photographing Elam's parents wedding a few years ago in uptown Charlotte, NC (Check it out here). So when Ellam's mom contacted me about his First Birthday Cake Smash, first I had a drink because..where did the time go..then I refocused. We got together and planned the perfect smash for such an adorable little boy. Nice and simple, so Ellam remained the star of the show. When asked how the past year has felt Ellam's mom began by describing how he was in a rush from the very beginning!

"One year ago today, this little cutie who was in a rush to get out and explore the world , surprised mommy and daddy in the middle of the night and had them rush to the hospital at 3 am! A few hour later and he was stealing everyones heart with his perfect little round head and all things tiny. Now, a year older he continues to steal hearts with his perfect smile and perfect curls. Mommy and daddy could not be any happier."
