So today as I was comfortably working in my studio, sporting my outfit of choice quarantine pj's a horrible sound from outside decided to mess up my cozy moment. Looking outside I was surprised to see hail. Yep, it was hailing outside in January in Charlotte NC. Checking the weather report I noticed that we may even get snow by Friday. I am really hoping we do so my girls can make snow cones outside instead of more "mud fudge", it's much easier to clean up! Anyways, all this to say it is the season for in-studio Maternity sessions.
In-studio sessions allow for several outfit and backdrop changes without the sticky hiking or having to change in a tiny pop up tent that was really meant for non-pregnant campers to shower in! Personally, I love studio maternity, with complete control over the elements you and your glorious belly truly become artwork. I absolutely loved this session. We were able to get through so many looks and mom and dad now have beautiful images to share with their daughter as she grows up. The love these two have for each other just radiated through the images. I do have to give credit to the mom for the chair & candle set, it was all her beautiful vision.
As a reminder, the best time to take maternity images is between 32-35 weeks and you should book at least 2 months early to allow for planning. I do have a client closet of designer dresses available for use and constantly updating my collection. Every maternity session will get images in color and black and white if requested as well as a custom slideshow like this one, perfect for sharing at your baby shower.
