I have been getting a lot of questions regarding the differences between the two newborn photography sessions I offer. Our sweet swaddle session is a shorter session, focused on the baby who remains wrapped/swaddled throughout the session. This is great for babies who loved being swaddled and for parents who love prop shots. Typically for each sweet swaddle session, we will get through about 4-5 props, a few bean bag images for digital backdrops, and a few simple close-up detail shots of all their little hands and feet. Our Soulful newborn sessions include all of this while allowing a bit more time to include family poses and more table posing, including those squishy newborn poses like the frogger and hand and heads shots. As I got ready for my Sweet Swaddle Newborn Session today in our home studio in Concord, I decided to shoot a quick behind the scenes to show you what prop sets typically look like for one of our sets. Below I will show an image with the bed set up and the "cat scratcher pose" I reference in the video.
